Aim

In line with the objectives of the Leonardo da Vinci programme, operators involved are given the opportunity to

  • improve their knowledge and professional skills;
  • put the technical dynamics into context with regard to the various systemic approaches adopted by the various European countries involved in the exchange;
  • earn about best practices in use in the various European countries and transfer that knowledge to the operators own field of work;
  • learn about/compare the various European models in place for the development of methods and techniques within the field of education, vocational training and employment;
  • learn about and compare operating methods and instruments used by various training organisations and small and medium-sized businesses with regard to continuous development and the management of internships, work experience placements and apprenticeship programmes;
  • learn new techniques and new areas of experience for the study and development of shared methods, procedures and practices for the assesment of educational credits and the validation of informal learning;
  • define practices and procedures/techniques verified on a European level concerning the recognition of educational credits and the assessment/certification of skills;
  • compare procedures, methods and tools used in the fight against early school leaving and the prevention of juvenile problems;
  • increase the level of knowledge and sharing of good practices that, applied to different contexts and organisations, improve the quality and appeal of education and training, even in the business world.

The project uses the sharing of good practices as a methodological tool for introducing innovation.

Activities included in the project

The agency performs promotional and coordinating activities to identify and prepare the various exchanges planned by organising specific information sessions for all partners and participants involved in individual exchanges (see attached programme) with respect to the interests and indications defined by the exchange partners and participants.

As promoter of the project, the agency plays an active role in liaising with European partners to

  • define which subject areas good practices are to be shared in and which organisations within the local area are best equipped to meet the training needs declared by each participant and/or sending organisation;
  • communicate the project results, in agreement with the Vocational Training and Active Labour Policies Department of the provincial authorities of Como, involving all of the participants and the respective sending organisations.

Exchanges are preceded by preparatory work to establish a mutual understanding of the European partner organisations and the subjects forming the basis of discussions, through the exchange of information in electronic and/or paper format. The agency offers organisational, technical and management support for the various exchanges, ensuring compliance with the procedures and agreements in force as well as the “commitment to quality of the partnership” required by the Leonardo programme.
